Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect what we need to run the Lit List and our events, we never sell it, and you can change or delete it any time.
Who we are
Lit & Loud LLC ("Lit & Loud", "we", "us") runs state-licensed cannabis engagement events in Michigan (license AU-MEO-000232). This policy explains what we collect when you use getlitandloud.com, join the Lit List, hold a Lit Pass™ or come to one of our events, and what we do with it.

What we collect
What you give us
- Contact details: first and last name, email, mobile number, city and ZIP code.
- Age: date of birth, so we can confirm you're 21+.
- Profile: Instagram handle, how you heard about us, the role you're signing up as (guest, vendor, sponsor, artist, staff or press) and the interests you pick.
- Business details if you sign up as a vendor, sponsor, artist or press: company or stage name, title, category, website and, where it applies, your license number.
- Your choices: whether you want emails, texts, and whether you're OK appearing in event photos and video.
- Plus-ones: the name and email of anyone you add to your pass. Only add people who've agreed to it.
What we record
- Your member ID, the events you're invited to, your passes and when they're checked in at the door.
- Internal notes our team keeps to run events, such as VIP status or a flag for a door issue.
What happens automatically
- Our site is hosted by Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar tools for site function, security and visitor analytics. See Squarespace's own privacy policy for details.
- When you sign in to your Lit Pass™, a private sign-in key is saved in your browser so you stay signed in. Signing out removes it.
At the door, staff check a government ID to confirm age. We look at it; we don't scan, photograph or store it.
How we use it
- Run the Lit List and send you invites, passes and event updates.
- Confirm you're 21+ and check you in at events.
- Send marketing emails and texts, only if you opted in.
- Keep events safe and follow Michigan cannabis rules.
- Answer your questions and fix problems with your account.
Photos and video
Our events are photographed and filmed. If you opt in to the photo & video release, we may use images you appear in for event recaps and promotion. If you didn't opt in, tell the photographer or a staff member at the event and we'll do our best to keep you out of published shots. You can change your choice any time in your Lit Pass™.
Text messages
If you opt in to texts, we use your number to send day-of updates and location reveals. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Mobile numbers and text opt-in consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing. See our SMS Terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you're on the Lit List. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove it within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as event attendance and age-verification logs required under Michigan cannabis rules.
Your choices
- Update your details or your email, text and photo preferences any time in your Lit Pass™.
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email.
- Stop texts by replying STOP.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected].
Security
Your information is stored in an encrypted access-controlled database with live authentication required. Lit Pass™ sign-in uses private links sent to your email instead of passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your sign-in emails to yourself.
21+ only
Lit & Loud is for adults 21 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn we have, we delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll email the Lit List before it takes effect.
